Maile orders probe into Mashatile mansion

JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Partnership Fund has 30 days within which to report to Gauteng Human Settlements MEC Lebogang Maile over the involvement of Legacy Properties with the GPF.

Maile's asked that they investigate whether the loans given to Legacy Properties were above board.

A News24 investigation revealed Deputy President Paul Mashatile is living in an R37-million home in Waterfall, registered on a 99-year lease to Legacy Properties.

Maile says the sole directors of Legacy Properties are said to be Mashatile’s son, Thabiso, and son-in-law, Nceba Nonkwelo.
