Major crash on N3 near Montrose

JOHANNESBURG - The busy N3 near Montrose was closed on Tuesday morning following a crash involving two trucks and bus.

Both lanes in a northbound direction (towards Gauteng) have been reopened.

Traffic is heavily backed up in both directions as officials try to clear the scene.

The accident happened at around 6am on Tuesday morning.

Motorists are warned to expect an extensive backlog and delays in the area.

It's not clear what caused the crash.
