Mantashe to visit Jagersfontein after dam wall collapse

JOHANNESBURG - Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe will visit Jagersfontein in the Free State on Tuesday.

He has cut short a working visit to South Sudan and Niger to attend to the disaster that has left hundreds homeless.

A mining dam burst in the area on Sunday leaving at least one person confirmed dead, dozens injured, and over 300 displaced.

President Cyril Ramaphosa visited the area on Monday and addressed residents.
