Mashatile resumes duties after two-month medical leave

PRETORIA - Deputy President Paul Mashatile has resumed his official duties following a two-month medical leave of absence.

Mashatile took time away from office to recover from a minor surgical procedure he underwent in August.

However, subsequent health setbacks kept him away from his official responsibilities for several weeks.

As his recovery progresses, the Deputy President is expected to gradually resume his official programme over the coming days.

His schedule will include chairing Cabinet committees, attending the Mid-Term Budget Policy Statement and answering oral questions in the National Council of Provinces.
