Mbalula: Blackouts will be over by end of 2023

ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says blackouts will be over by the end of the year. He says government is on top of the crisis.

JOHANNESBURG - Power cuts will be over by the end of this year.

That is, after all, yet another promise made to South Africans.

This time by ANC Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula.

Speaking to JJ Tabane on Power to Truth, Mbalula says government is on top of the power crisis.

According to Mbalula, blackouts will be a thing of the past by the end of December.

"What I know from where I'm seated, from the work that's been done by government and ministers and so on, the load-shedding before the end of the year should've been something of the past," he said.

"I can assure you that load shedding will be reversed and it will be dealt with decisively."
