MPOLWENI - ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has been campaigning in Mpolweni, KZN.
It comes after he collapsed following a Constitutional Court ruling in the ANC's favour about disputed candidate lists.
Mbalula thanked the community for their continued support.
"Above all, the issues here are matters that relate to housing, which is being attended to. And then the school has been down. We're going to visit the school. And there's going to be mobile classes that are going to come next week to the school. We'll visit. We're going to talk to the community as well.
"The issues with regard to road situation on the ground, that too has been attended to. We are with the mayor here, who briefed us about some of the things that are outstanding. There are issues of the transformer in terms of Eskom. The other transformer has been brought in. And then we're going to be talking to Eskom to extend the transformer to the rest of the community so that they can all of them be covered. So these are things that are doable, that we can do. So we thank our people for keeping the faith and the belief in the people's movement."
