JOHANNESBURG - Imagine walking into a food storeroom only to find cats running wild and meat piled on the ground.
That was the grim reality Labour Minister Nomakhosazana Meth and Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero saw during a compliance blitz in the city.
While the health violations left inspectors reeling, Meth also took aim at rogue employers.
This isn't a one-off operation.
The minister has promised to keep the pressure on with weekly blitz inspections across the country.
