Mineworker charged with stabbing colleague to death


JOHANNESBURG - A 43-year-old man is appearing before the Westonaria Magistrate’s Court on charges of stabbing a colleague to death.

The victim and the suspect both worked at the Sibanye Stillwater mine.

They were staying together at the Leseding Hostel.

A video of the attack, in full view of onlookers, was circulated on social media.

The footage shows a man wielding a knife and stabbing the victim multiple times.

The suspect also took a picture of himself with his dead colleague.
