Missing child's grandparents arrested

JOHANNESBURG - Police in Limpopo have arrested the grandparents of missing two-year-old Omphile Sethole in connection with alleged child negligence.

Authorities arrested the two suspects, aged 52 and 55.

The pair is expected to appear in the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Omphile vanished from her home in Ga-Mabuela village earlier this month.

Police said the grandmother discovered she was gone in the early hours of the morning, after finding an open window in the child’s room.

The child had last been seen wearing a pink jersey and black tights.

The child is still missing, and Police say the investigation into the toddler’s disappearance is ongoing.
