JOHANNESBURG - The MK Party has terminated Floyd Shivambu's membership.
The party confirmed on Friday that they had sent a letter of dismissal to its former secretary general.
In June, Shivambu was recalled from his position as the secretary-general of the party.
His future within the party has been uncertain following his removal.
He was removed following an Easter trip to Malawi, where he attended a church service led by fugitive preacher Shepherd Bushiri.
Shivambu joined the MK Party in August last year, making a move from the EFF, where he was the party's deputy president.
The MK Party accuses him of violating the party's trust and ideological misalignment.
