Mosiuoa Lekota's death a loss to the political landscape

BLOEMFONTEIN – COPE founder Mosiuoa Lekota has been described as a leader who respected his constituents.

The late struggle stalwart Mosiuoa Lekota as a giant in South Africa’s political landscape. 

Lekota, who died last week at the age of 77 is being laid to rest in Bloemfontein.

Family spokesperson Dennis Bloem also described Lekota as a unifier.

“Comrade Terror was a unifier. But Comrade Terror started in the Black Consciousness Movement that's why you can see from day one in the memorial services, we have included the Black Consciousness Movement. We have included the ANC. The ANC will speak today and COPE. You Comrade Terror is a giant in the political field of this country,” Bloem said.
