JOHANNESBURG - A mother and three others accused of encouraging a toddler to smoke a mandrax-laced pipe returns to the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court this Monday morning.
The group have been charged with child neglect, child abuse and attempted murder.
In a viral video that sparked outrage, the 4-year-old boy is seen being urged to light the pipe and take several puffs.
The matter was postponed last week to allow the accused to secure legal representation.
The State has indicated its intention to oppose bail.
