Motsoeledi addresses Eastern Cape's collapsing healthcare sector

GQEBERHA - Health Minister, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, has met with Eastern Cape, health and labour officials to discuss the province's healthcare crisis.

This follows videos that went viral on social media that shown a dire situation in a labour ward from one of the hospitals in Gqeberha. This brought the issue of collapsing healthcare facilities in Eastern Cape to the minister's attention.

Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane acknowledged the province's healthcare issues. He admitted that some were long overdue and expressed satisfaction that key stakeholders had finally come together to tackle them head-on.
