Naptosa: Concern over Matric pupils’ mental health

Teacher's union Naptosa has expressed concern about pupils' mental health during the matric final exams.

JOHANNESBURG - Teacher's union Naptosa is concerned about pupils' mental health during the matric final exams.

The organisation's Basil Manuel says the mental health of thousands of children hasn't been looked at carefully.

He says children are under lots of pressure and parents should help them deal with the stress they may have.

"The mental health of thousands of children has not really been looked at carefully, we are worried about them," he said.

"We are very concerned and appealing to parents to look out for signs. Allow them time to rest, they can't get into the exam room exhausted."
