JOHANNESBURG - Executive Director of Re Hata Mmoho, Sello Hatang, believes the upcoming national dialogue will only be useful if it tackles difficult but important issues like racism.
In a letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa and the dialogue's conveners, he's urging them to ensure that the discussions result in concrete outcomes rather than lingering as empty dialogue.
Hatang says that as long as the country has not dealt with the burden that came with the truth commission, moving forward will be hard.
"It pointed out our wounds and said we must deal with them," he says.
