Leonard Lekgetho's been acting the in the position since the departure of his predecessor Andy Mothibi.
Mothibi was bumped up to become the National Director of Public Prosecutions.
Lekgetho said a bigger budget could assist his organisation to recover more money siphoned through corruption.
