The Alexandra Magistrate's Court has denied him bail, ruling that he's flight risk.

The controversial businessman is accused of masterminding the killing of DJ Sumbody, DJ Vintos, and Vereeniging engineer, Armand Swart.

Flanked by heavily armed task force officers, a calm Katiso Molefe makes his way into the dock.

Facing schedule 6 offences, the onus on him to show exceptional circumstances, and convince the court to set him free.

But the prosecution's arguments tying Molefe to an alleged criminal network, and a previous fraud conviction in the UK, sealed his fate.

The National Prosecuting Authority and Dj Sumbody's family have welcomed the ruling.

The police probing this complex case, now have an added layer of protection.

The police have not ruled out the possibility of more arrests as investigations continue.

Molefe remains in custody and will be back in court on 18 September.
