No blackouts on Christmas day
Eskom says the suspension of power outages on Christmas day is due to lower demand for electricity.
JOHANNESBURG - Eskom will suspend power cuts from 5am tomorrow until 5am on Monday morning.
After that, Stage 2 outages will be implemented until 4pm on Tuesday.
The power utility says Stage 3 will then be implemented thereafter.
Eskom says the suspension of power outages on Christmas day is due to lower demand for electricity.
The embattled utility is however appealing to the public to use electricity sparingly during this period or outages would have to be implemented at short notice.
