JOHANNESBURG - New NPA boss, Andy Mothibi is demanding answers after the NPA reportedly refused to prosecute Johannesburg Development Agency CEO, Themba Mathibe.
Mathibe was reportedly found with R2 million in sealed Reserve Bank bags.
The money is linked to possible cash-in-transit heists.
News24 reports that the provincial NPA will not enrol the case in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, despite being advised to do so.
Mothibi has launched an urgent probe into this and another case, the alleged R64-million City Power procurement fraud.
