Number of voting stations increased to 23,300

PRETORIA - The Electoral Commission has its sights set on the 2026 local government elections.

This follows the successful 2024 national and provincial elections, which saw the commission add 1.2 million new voters to the roll bringing the total number of registered voters to a historic 27.7 million.
