Nzimande to brief media on NSFAS board dissolution

JOHANNESBURG - Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande will brief the media about his decision to dissolve the NSFAS board and take over the institution's management.

This decision comes after Ernest Khosa resigned as chairperson earlier this week.

Last year, Khosa asked to take a leave of absence following corruption allegations levelled against him and Minister Nzimande by the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse. 

On Thursday, the minister put the NSFAS board under administration as part of efforts to make NSFAS more effective.
