One killed as storms pound Western Cape

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape authorities are urging residents to be vigilant amid extreme weather conditions.

At least one person has been killed as heavy rain and gale-force winds wreak havoc across the province.

Firefighters have also been battling blazes.

There are reports of uprooted trees, vehicles blown over and roofs blown off houses and buildings.
