Operation O Kae Molao | Police descend on Westbury

JOHANNESBURG - Operation O Kae Molao descended to crime-ridden Westbury.

The area is notorious for gang murders and drug dealers.

Gauteng police commissioner Elias Mawela said the task team which was deployed to deal with high crime levels there continues with its work.

"Ever since the intervention was put in place here, the team has managed to arrest 146 suspects who were founded mainly in possession of firearms, drugs... all of them are still behind bars," he said.

"For now we continue with the deployment and the team is working hard to ensure that they bring stability in this area."
