JOHANNESBURG - More than 1,500 undocumented migrants were processed through the Beitbridge Border Crossing in a single day during one of the largest coordinated deportation operations in recent months.
The Border Management Authority said they processed 1129 Malawians and 467 Zimbabweans who were being returned to their countries after being found without valid documentation.

The Malawians were in a convoy of buses that left Durban the day before.
Officials conducted biometric verification and identity checks to ensure accurate processing.
Authorities expect further arrivals for processing in the coming days.
