CAPE TOWN - Authorities in the Western Cape say wildfires across the province are now under control.
The blaze in Pearl Beach has been contained with overnight light drizzle helping the efforts of firefighters.
Aalwyndal, Island View and Vakansieplaas in Mossel Bay are being closely monitored for potential flare-ups.

In Stanford, firefighters are carrying out controlled backburns at De Koude Vlakte.
And in the Eastern Cape, evacuations and road closures have been ordered in Zwartenbosch, Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp.
The R72 has been closed due to a fast-spreading veld fire.
And evacuations have been ordered in the Kouga area while firefighters work to contain three active fires in St Francis Bay and Paradise Beach.
