JOHANNESBURG - Weeks after Pikitup promised to clear Johannesburg’s refuse collection backlog, many communities say little has changed.
Residents in parts of Sandton and Randburg are still living with overflowing bins, foul smells and growing health concerns.
They're questioning why they’re still paying for a service they say they are not receiving.
eNCA reached out to Pikitup for an update on the outstanding backlogs and when affected communities can expect normal refuse collection to resume.
The entity is yet to provide answers.
