Pastor charged with rape back in court

JOHANNESBURG - Arise and Shine Gospel Church pastor Benjamin Dingiso is back in court on Monday morning.

The Katlehong priest faces charges of rape and the sexual grooming of dozens of young men.

It’s alleged he abused young men and minors back in 2009.

His victims who are now part of the case were aged between 15 and 20 at the time.

They testified how he raped and molested them while purportedly counselling church members.

Dingiso denies the allegations, saying they are a fabrication by a former apostle.

He says the former church leader is trying to defame him to steal his church.
