JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court of South Africa said judgment in the Phala Phala matter is now at an advanced stage.
The Apex Court said it expects to deliver the ruling within a month.
The case, brought by the Economic Freedom Fighters, challenges the way Parliament handled the scandal involving President Cyril Ramaphosa, including its decision not to proceed with an impeachment process.

At the centre of the saga are allegations linked to the 2020 theft of foreign currency from the President’s Phala Phala farm, as well as questions over whether proper procedures were followed.
The matter was heard in late 2024, but judgment has been reserved for more than a year, well beyond the usual timeframe.
The update comes amid mounting pressure from the EFF, which today staged a march to the court, demanding the release of the long-awaited ruling.
