RUSTENBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters said the plight of workers should be prioritised.
Spokesperson Thembi Msane made the remarks in Marikana, where the party marked Workers’ Day.
She said there was absolutely nothing tangible that had been done that workers should celebrate today.
"The wives of the people who were lost here, if you look at the journey that they are still traveling, trying to find justice for their husbands who were killed, the suffering remains the same.
"As you were driving here today, you would have seen the dilapidated roads, the quality of life of the people of Marikana. They still don't have a quality living wage. So, 14 years and nothing has happened, and the murderer of these people of Marikana is now involved in the Phala Phala scandal."
