Police close in on gang violence in Cape Town

CAPE TOWN - Several people have been killed in different parts of Cape Town, due to gang-related violence, according to police reports.

In Mitchells Plain, at least five people were killed and seven others were injured in the gunfire.

19 people have been held for questioning by police on Friday, with five people reported to be charged in connection with a mass shooting.

eNCA's  Nobesuthu Hejana spoke with Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt General Thembisile Patekile about the matter.
