"Over the period 1 April 2022 to date, there's 2,147 Eskom cases that have been reported to the South African Police Services and about 1,586 of these 2,147 are under investigation," the minister said.

"And since that period of 1 April 2022, they've made 126 arrests. Of course its gradual but it's meaningful progress that we are making.

"Just to make the point that in addition to the technical solutions that we are seeking to address the issues of Eskom, we are also focused on addressing some of the underlying problems which have been fraud, corruption and issues of security at Eskom."
