Police killings | Final salute to hero cop in KZN

ESTCOURT - The final salute has been given to a hero cop who died in the line of duty in KwaZulu-Natal.

Sithembiso Makhathini was killed while trying to stop a robbery.

He managed to return fire before he died.

A suspect has since been arrested.

Police Minister Bheki Cele has once again raised concerns over the killing of officers.

A total of 33 cops have been killed since January last year.
