Police launch manhunt for Rand Water exec’s killers
JOHANNESBURG - Police have not yet taken anyone in for questioning over the murder of Rand Water executive Teboho Joala.
He was shot multiple times at a back-to-school event at the end of January.
Acting Gauteng police commissioner Tommy Mthombeni says two suspects have been identified from video footage, and a manhunt has been launched.
"One must confirm that we have put a strong team together. We have established that they follow systematically on whatever information we are receiving," he said.
"Currently we don’t have a breakthrough, but they are working closely with the victims that are still alive like the Chief Whip and the community who has info that can lead to the arrest."
