Police Minister to hold crime imbizo in Gauteng

JOHANNESBURG - Police Minister Bheki Cele is taking his crime-fighting mission to Soweto.

He's set to meet with Izinduna following his visit to Vanderbijlpark on Friday.

The meetings are part of ongoing efforts to flush out criminality in Gauteng communities and improve working relations with residents.

Community discussions will focus on addressing serious and violent crimes, as well as police responses to the scourge.

During Friday’s Imbizo, Cele said his department has been struggling to procure police vehicles.
