JOHANNESBURG - Public Protector investigations into Police Minister Senzo Mchunu have reached an advanced stage.
According to the Public Protector's chief operating officer, Nelisiwe Nkabinde, they are following up on new information that keeps coming to light.
“We have received full cooperation from everyone, and that has led to us getting more and more information and evidence as we continue with the various consultations," she said.
Investigations stem from allegations against Mchunu, including political interference and abuse of power.
The Public Protector's office is, however, stressed that it's not running a parallel Madlanga Commission.
