Public sector strike | KZN SACP in solidarity with workers
JOHANNESBURG - Despite the court order instructing striking health workers to return to work immediately, unions in KwaZulu-Natal are not backing down.
Popcru has joined Nehawu in the fight for a 10 percent wage increase.
The unions say the public servants' right to strike should be protected.
The unions are looking at options to appeal the Labour Court’s judgment.
The SACP in KwaZulu-Natal though says it supports the union.

The party's second-deputy provincial secretary in the province, Bheki Shandu, has also appealed to the leadership of Nehawu to give a proper leadership to the strikers.
"We are fully supporting the struggle of our workers against their employers but what becomes important is that we are expecting the workers themselves to demonstrate and picket within the ambit of the law," Shandu said.
