Public sector strike | Workers urged to return to work

JOHANNESBURG - Nehawu members are on strike, despite an interdict from the health department.

Doctors and non-striking health workers have been trying to get to work while dodging furious protesters in the process.

The Health Department says this is what happens when protests are leaderless.

It is, however, the level of anger and destruction that seems to have accompanied this strike that has shocked the country.

Nehawu says they shouldn't be blamed as they tried to negotiate a minimum service level agreement with government to keep this strike safe.
