JOHANNESBURG - The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority has called on health professionals to stop selling children's immune boosters containing selenium and zinc picolinate.
SAHPRA says these products don’t meet Category D complementary medicine regulations, meaning their sale is illegal.
The public is urged to return children’s zinc picolinate and selenium products to pharmacists or suppliers.
