Publisher withdraws Herman Mashaba's biography

JOHANNESBURG - Jonathan Ball Publishers is withdrawing Herman Mashaba's biography 'The Outsider' from the market.

It comes after revelations that the ActionSA leader paid Prince Mashele to write the book.

The publisher says it was not aware of the funding agreement when it agreed to publish in 2022.

It says this was a material non-disclosure and a breach of trust by the author.
