Pupils protest over assault of schoolmate, blame principal

VOSLOORUS - Gauteng Education has moved the principal of Thuto-Lesedi Secondary to the district office.

It comes after days of protests at the school following an alleged bullying incident.
A pupil was assaulted, allegedly by schoolmates, and is now being being treated in intensive care.

Pupils say bullying is rife at the school, but the principal is ignoring the crisis.
Gauteng Education has dismissed the claims, but say they are investigating.

eNCA's Hloni Mtimkulu reports that pupils from other schools in the area also joined the protest.
