R7,9 billion needed to fix roads and infrastructure in Limpopo

POLOKWANE - It will cost nearly R8 billion to fix roads and infrastructure in Limpopo.

The province has been battered by severe floods that claimed dozens of lives and left thousands displaced.

Premier, Phophi Ramathuba says the cost of the damage may still increase.

But, she's happy with the quality of RDP houses, saying they were the only ones left standing.

"We are at R7.9 billion. As I've indicated at that time, we were able to do an assessment, especially on the roads, on the bridges, on the schools, on the clinics.'
