Ramaphosa pushes 'struggling' Gauteng to deliver Wow G20 summit

JOHANNESBURG - A heavy task lies ahead of Gauteng as President Cyril Ramaphosa expects the province to deliver a "wow" G20 Leaders Summit.

This as the province cripples with crumbling infrastructure, crime and lawlessness and unreliable service delivery.

Ramaphosa was speaking at the Johannesburg Metro Council during the fourth edition of the provincial visits.

Expressing concerns over the province's ongoing struggles, Ramaphosa emphasized the need for decisive action as the province is a contributor to the country's Gross Domestic product 

“Gauteng contributes the largest share of any province to the country’s Gross Domestic Product.

“It is the single most critical economic hub in the country, serving as a powerhouse of finance, governance, industry and innovation," the president said.
