BENONI - President Cyril Ramaphosa has urged urged educators to intensify efforts to improve early childhood learning.
Ramaphosa delivered the key address at the Basic Education Department's sector lekgotla in Boksburg.
The President said not having mastered basic skills in reading and mathematics at foundation sets a tone on how a learner will perform in High School and beyond.
He said correcting these short comings is an urgent task.
