Ramaphosa to sign GBV, NPA bills into law

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has found his pen, and he's wasting no time using it.

He will sign two bills into law today.

They are the the National Council on GBV and Femicide Bill and the NPA Amendment Bill.

The GBV Bill lays the foundation for a multi-sectoral approach to fight the scourge.

The Presidency says the landmark legislation is a critical step in ensuring the safety and security of women.

The NPA Bill provides for the establishment of the Investigating Directorate against Corruption.
