JOHANNESBURG - The Rand may be getting its mojo back.
The currency has strengthened more than half a per cent against the US dollar.
After showing resilience during most of the war in the Middle East, expectations of higher interest rates had placed the currency under pressure.

The Rand was trading close to R16.70 to the dollar at the start of October, its lowest level since late July.
But in recent days, it has regained ground and today strengthened to below R16.50 to the dollar.
A weekly auction of government debt spurred on the currency, attracting the strongest demand in four months.
