JOHANNESBURG - There's been conflicting testimony regarding what Jayden-Lee Meek was wearing the day he went missing.
This was clear when his scholar transport driver and teacher testified against his mother, Tiffany Meek, on Wednesday.
Meek had initially told police her son had been wearing his school uniform, but testimony by the two witnesses said otherwise.
Driver Mzwakhe Khumalo and teacher Rethabile Maswangane testified that Jayden-Lee was wearing a red tracksuit
For Khumalo, the case has taken a heavy toll after Meek shifted the blame on him.
Amongst the community members there was a woman, I don't know that woman, I have never meet that woman she said no I saw the white Microbus dropped Jayden I was coming from my car in the parking lot so that woman saved my life because of it was not foe her the community could have visited my house and would not be here today testifying."
More witnesses are expected to be called to the stand, including journalists who interviewed the accused following the incident.
The matter has been postponed to next Wednesday.
Arrangements for an in loco inspection at Swazi Complex in Fleurhof are also being made.
