REIGER PARK - Acting National Police Commissioner Puleng Dimpane described Anti-Gang Unit Constable Siphiwe Sibeko as a young officer dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth.
Sibeko was killed in Reiger Park last week.
At his funeral, Dimpane highlighted Sibeko’s extensive training during nearly seven years in the police service.
She said he was preparing for greater responsibility and the challenges ahead.

“These were not merely courses recorded on his personal file. They reflected a young police officer who understood that professional policing demands continuous learning discipline as well as preparedness.
“Significantly in May this year, only months before his death, Constable Sibeko successfully completed further maintenance shooting training in handgun as well as rifle. He was preparing himself for the future. He was sharpening his skills. He was maintaining his operational readiness. He was doing what a committed police officer does, preparing for the next call, the next shift and the next challenge,” Dimpane said.
