EKURHULENI – The remains of Ekurhuleni Roads and Transport MMC Andile Mngwevu who was killed in the devastating Mozambique floods are expected back in South Africa on Friday.
Mngwevu’s body was recovered earlier this week after his car was swept away in the Chokwe area during severe floods. He went missing while on a trip in the country earlier this month.
He has been described as a loving and devoted husband.

Sending his condolences to the family, Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza said the best way to honour was to accelerate service delivery which was his passion.
“On Wednesday I took time to go to Maputo to support the family with repartition. And with the work we expect all the bodies to be brought home on today [Friday].”
