Restore the power grid | Koeberg's Unit 2 under maintenance

JOHANNESBURG - The country’s electricity crisis is becoming gloomier by the day.

There seems to be no end in sight for the rolling blackouts despite promises by the Electricity Minister.

Starting Monday, Koeberg's Unit 2 will be shut down for scheduled maintenance, and will be out of commission until September 2024.

The time will be used to replace its steam generators.
From Monday until Thursday, Stage 3 blackouts will be implemented from 05:00 until 16:00, with Stage 4 in place in the evenings.
