Restore the power grid | Ramokgopa on the hunt for megawatts

JOHANNESBURG - Business and households have helped ease the pressure on the grid.

That's according to electricity minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa.

Eskom says this it's also partly due to improvements in generation capacity.

"Every megawatt counts, that's what the team knows. We are searching for megawatts, when you put them together they are going to save you one stage of load-shedding," he said.

"Part of the interventions we are making is to work with households, industries to ensure that we reduce demand."
